Here we are:
Junior Champs starts Friday and Short Course Champs starts in 17
days! If you think that’s all that’s
going on in the next few weeks, you must not read these things too
often. Ready to dive in?
Swim-A-Thon:
DATE CHANGE!
Due to some conflicts, we had to change the
date of our annual Swim-a-Thon to FRIDAY, MAY
7. This is our only fundraiser of the
year, and it’s essential to the health of the club that all
swimmers participate and do it with enthusiasm.
There will be prizes for the top fundraisers in each practice
group. It doesn’t take much: for example,
The Boise Swim Team raised over $35,000 in their
swim-a-thon. But here’s the
kicker—only one person raised over $1,000, and only 10 raised
over $500 on a team that’s only slightly larger than
ours. From Ripples all the way to Seniors, every
effort goes a long way, so please be ready to work hard for the
future of the team.

all about it.
Junior
Champs—THIS WEEKEND: Moscow, Idaho
Well, our entries are in.
It’s time to pack up, throw some gas in the rig, and head on
down to Moscow and race! We have 42 swimmers
participating, and 15 relay teams. We should be
one of the biggest teams at the meet, so we’ve set ourselves
up for some great success. Enjoy the week and
get ready to have some fun this weekend!
IES Short
Course Champs—Feb 26-28: Ellensburg, Washington
Our annual
Shamrock Shake Up T-shirt design contest is in full swing again
this year. Show off your artistic abilities and create a
great design for the shirts that will be sold at the meet.
You can win a free t-shirt and other prizes. Please
have your design into Ashley or Mathew Christoff’s folder by
February 16. Please make sure to attach your name to your
design. Good luck, and have fun!
Shamrock Shake
Up and Triple Pentathlon
We are getting ever closer to March and April and we
still have a lot of work to do to get ready. Make sure that
you have the weekends of March 12-14 and April 16-18 blocked out so
you can participate and volunteer for the swim meets that we
host. These are a lot bigger and more complicated than our
developmental meets, so we’ll need all hands on deck!
The on-line job sign-ups will be posted soon; remember that the
family volunteer hours need to be fulfilled, and these meets are
just about the easiest way to do it.
That’s
it. Keep everyone going to Junior Champs in your
thoughts this week—send them your well wishes and, if
possible, all your athletic ability. Every
little bit counts! Thanks so much; have a great
week.
